80s Night
Might go down to Broadstairs Pav tomorrow night. They're doing another of those 80s nights for the over 21s.
I suppose it's too much to hope that one day they might put on a 21s night for the over 80s.

My mates who are still, metaphorically speaking, 'pounding the beat' and have not been called up for duty in that great nick in the sky have commented on the similarity in policing style between myself and Gene Hunt.
I can't prove it, but that reprobate Eastcliff Richard is an acquaintance of the writer, and as you know ECR and I go back quite a way, so it does make me wonder whether I may have provided some inspiration. But I still haven't a clue what's going on in the series. Haven't seen the last episode yet though, perhaps that makes everything clear.
I'd suppose that the antics of the young police officers, around the time that you retired, would seem inexplicable. Isn't that the way that it works in all walks of life?
